Excellent experience! We wanted a side return for our ground floor flat designing and had difficulty with steelworks. Tom was very professional, surveying the site and providing updates on the plans and when it would be delivered. Plans were delivered promptly and on time. Alex and Derek were awesome for an assessment of steal beam install for wall removal.  Professional, quick to respond and thorough. Derek was fantastic to deal with. I reached out about a structural issue at a property I'm purchasing, and from the first conversation he was incredibly informative — clearly explaining what he was seeing, what it meant, and what my options were, in a way that was easy to understand without any unnecessary jargon. He was also very prompt with his responses, which made a real difference given the time pressure I was under. Every point he raised was detailed and well thought through, and it was obvious he genuinely knew what he was talking about. Derek performed a structural review on a period property we were purchasing as our first home. His report was excellent and detailed all minor issues well. He communicated with us constantly and kept us well informed throughout the process (an early indicator that the property was in good condition was very much appreciated!). Our company required a report from a charted structural engineer to get the final approval from the landlords to install a mezzanine in our warehouse. Time was critical as the build was due a few days later (nothing like a last minute request from the landlords to throw a spanner in the works!). I contacted Derek and he was super helpful and reassuring. He understood the urgency and managed to prioritize our requirement and had the site visit and report done within 24hours. His knowledge and experience is second to none, and I know if we need assistance in the future we will be contacting SSA again. I had some unexpected concerns with the integrity of my roof space and structure after recent works with a builder and was looking for professional advice. When I contacted SSA, they took time (despite their full schedule leading up to Christmas) to help me to understand and identify the concerns. They gave quick attention and were discerning in their analysis of the issue. Instead of just giving a standard solution, they gave advice relevant to my concern and gave me professional and helpful guidance that helped to address my concerns quickly. I am so thankful to have found this company. Although my issue is not big, they took time to look at it and helped to alleviate my concerns. I felt they were so discerning and sincere to help. Despite having taken the time, they did not charge me for their time and guidance. My sincere thanks to Ms Jennifer Thornton, Mr Derek Mason and Mr Matthew Bone. Not only do I have complete confidence in their professional capabilities but they also offer fantastic customer service, helpful, responsive and attentive. Highly recommend SSA!
