When the opportunity arises to celebrate an anniversary for length of service at work what better way to mark the occasion than an evening of Axe Throwing!!

Our Senior Structural Engineer, Matthew Bone, celebrates his 5^th year at Super Structures Associates and decided that we should turn our hands to a unique team building event.

Upon arriving at the venue in Oxford Street and signing our lives away with the waiver form, we duly made our way to our axe throwing lane.  Thankfully we received plenty of guidance from our instructor as he advised us that it was not about strength but technique to ensure the axe embedded into the target.

Then the fun began as we entered the competition stage.  Battling against each other to win matches before the final show down between our new engineer Hussain and the Company Secretary (and the boss’s wife) Janet.  Would Hussain show grace and allow Janet to win or would he continue on his quest to be the best ….. Hussain was crowned the winner.  But little did he know that the winner would be buying everyone dinner 😉 – only joking.

It was a great evening of laughter, team camaraderie and trying something new.  Congratulations Matt on your 5^th Year at SSA.
