Super Structures Associates (SSA) were called in by the contractor working on this full refurbishment of a two-bedroom apartment within a conservation area in the heart of Chelsea. The contractor was of the opinion the previously proposed scheme, by another engineering firm, was not physically possible to install.

SSA determined we could utilise our innovative stub beam method to allow practical installation of the new beam to allow the proposed large opening in the existing brickwork wall. This allowed the contractor to install the beam and remove the wall as proposed, to open up the space and really give that wow factor.
