Tom graduated with an MEng in Civil and Structural Engineering from Newcastle University in 2020. He brings valuable industry experience from roles at Arup, where he worked as a structural engineer, and Morgan Sindall, where he gained experience as a design manager, before joining SSA in August 2025.
Since joining SSA, Tom has contributed to a diverse range of projects, including the structural design of complex residential redevelopments, extensions, loft conversions, and internal structural alterations. His experience also extends to high-rise buildings and the refurbishment of historic structures, including notable projects such as Blackpool Tower and the Huddersfield Cultural Heart redevelopment.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys rugby, vehicle restoration, and tackling hands-on projects. While he still occasionally takes to the rugby pitch, he’s now more likely to be found watching the game with a beer in hand.
