We all know how hard it has been these last few months and the uncertainty for what lies ahead which is why it is good to lift the spirits and celebrate success.

In January 2020 we set out our business plan for the year ahead and even with the sudden changes caused by COVID-19 we have worked hard to keep to those plans.

Towards the end of 2019 we undertook a review of Super Structures Associates and asked ourselves some difficult questions.

• Who are Super Structures Associates?
• What differentiates us from our competitors?
• What is our legacy?
• How do we achieve our 1-year; 5-year and 10-year goals?
• How do we find our ‘Simply, Single Truth?’

We embarked on a journey to understand who we are and what we want our future to be.  With the help and guidance of a business mentor we worked through these questions, we hired an independent consultant who held interviews with the team, with our clients such as Architects, Contractors and Private Clients and we worked towards finding our Simply, Single Truth.

Encouragingly the results were positive and in line with our Company Values but also highlighted some opportunities for growth.

One of the things we took from this was the goal to achieve ISO accreditation; not just one certificate but the three relevant ones at the same time.  Well we do like to challenge ourselves.

At the start, the volume of information required and the expectation of providing supporting evidence to achieve each certificate was very overwhelming.  Thankfully, we had the support and guidance of an ISO expert to help us navigate our way.  During each step we were able to understand the benefits of the ISO requirements and see how these would improve our service and promote us to the next level against our competitors and give our clients the confidence that everything we do is to the highest standards.

With determination and a great team effort we are very proud to shout from the roof tops that we achieved all three ISO certificates:

• ISO 9001: Quality Management System
• ISO 14001: Environmental Management System
• ISO 45001: Health & Safety Management System

But not content with just this challenge over the recent months, we also continued with our business enhancement journey.  Another opportunity which was highlighted to us following our SSA review was to refresh our business website.

A website can become dated if older than 3-years, so we took the decision to give it a makeover.  Bringing onboard a web designing team we refreshed our website with a new design, updated content, a clearer layout, and professional imagery, using the feedback we received from the client interviews.  We also considered our customer experience and enhanced our ‘Contact’ page with the feature to upload documents.  Now our potential clients can instantly send us all the information we need to be able to provide them with a quote; thus, saving time with correspondence and allowing us to give a quicker reply.

We are delighted with our new website www.superstructuresassociates.co.uk and encouraged by our recent achievements to keep us positive in these challenging times.  We are looking forward to the future with an enthusiastic and positive outlook and will continue to strive for our business plan goals.
